Caring for mind, body and spiritIn addition to the effect cancer has on the body, it can also affect the mind and spirit. Moffitt Cancer Center offers spiritual care to all patients who seek comfort and strength through their spiritual beliefs.
Full-time chaplains are available for patients and their families to provide spiritual counseling and support. Non-denominational in approach, the chaplain offers patients, family members and caregivers an opportunity to reflect on their spiritual concerns and to garner strength from their beliefs. The chaplain is also a link to various members of the wider religious community, including priests, ministers and rabbis. To contact the chaplain, please call 813-745-2856.
